There’s a number of perks that come from attending Ultra4 races around the globe. Witnessing Spider 9 world domination in-person is one of them, that’s obvious, but beyond proving our products is a chance to meet some of the most amazing people on this planet. One of the most talented off-road journalists I’ve ever run across is Robb Pritchard, who runs Off-Road The Planet while also working with the folks over at Mad Media. Like many great minds, Robb takes a bit to warm up to, but once you do you’ll easily see why his work is way above the crowd.

Robb and I finally had a chance to “sit down” and talk a little about what we do here at Spidertrax, among other off-road related items. He recently published this interview HERE, and I think it’s well worth the read. Be sure to check that out, and don’t forget to subscribe to Off-Road The Planet while you’re there. Following travels through the eyes of Robb is nothing short of an amazing adventure.

With that, back to work we go.

What a way to kick off the new year! King of the Hammer’s race week just ended, and we couldn’t be happier not only with the performance of our Spider 9 axles but for all the drivers and teams who poured their hearts and souls into the world’s toughest off-road race.

Some top honors congrats go as follows: Erik Miller is your new KING of the Hammers, demonstrating from start to finish that a perfect sync of driver, co-driver, team & race components is what it takes to win this race. He was followed by Jason Scherer in 2nd and Raul Gomez in 3rd. We also have an overall EMC win by non-other than the Lovell Brothers, who has been inching toward that overall win now for years. Congrats to all of these top place finishers, as well as all of those who managed to cross the finish line which is an honor in its own right.

For two years running, Spider 9 Axles and components SWEEP the KOH podium. To prove is to win. With that, back to work we go.

February 1st2016

The buzz is certainly in the air, and this year’s King of the Hammers is set to be the biggest race yet. Juggling office and field work can be tough, so this year we’ll be making some tweaks to our phone and shipping schedule. We appreciate in advance everyone working with us on the modified schedule, it will make running around the California desert that much easier! Our modified schedule goes as follows:

  • Our phones will be offline from February 3-5, everyone at Spidertrax who answers phones will be on the lakebed. We’ll be back on phones and returning to post KOH normalcy February 8.
  • All online orders placed between February 3-5 will require up to 1 additional business day to ship.
  • All orders emailed or faxed in (this applies to our fantastic Wholesalers) will require up to 1 additional business day to process & ship.

You know it’s a big deal race when you have to tweak a business schedule that pretty much never changes. If you’re out on the lake bed and bump into one of us Spiders, be sure to say hi. With that, back to work we go.
