Spring Time in Colorado

From 70 deg F to blizzard. Wicked driving conditions. Loss of power at Spidertrax HQ. Welcome to spring time in Colorado.

We’re doing our best to keep things rocking today, but posting this on battery power doesn’t bode well for business as usual. We’re making the call to hold back shipping for today, so all in-stock orders placed today will ship by tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, not much we can do to control the weather. Some day…

As for phones, we’ll try to keep them open today. So far, phone service is happy and well. Granted, we’re working by candlelight, but that just keeps things interesting. Make it a great day, thanks for your patience and understanding while we shovel ourselves out (or wait for tomorrows 50 deg F weather to melt everything away).

While we’re still getting ready for the 2nd 2016 Ultra4 race, dates for next year’s 2017 Nitto King of The Hammers just dropped. Mark your calendars for Friday February 3rd, 2017 through Saturday, February 11th, 2017 as you’ll need to be either on the lake bed or glued to your computer screen watching the live coverage. For you computer organized racers, we created a calendar file for all the races we’ll be at (which includes Ultra4, of course), that file can be downloaded HERE. File should play nice with iCal formatted calendars.

At first glance, releasing dates for next year’s race so early seems a bit of a surprise. However, given the solid commitment KOH has with the BLM and land needed for the race, why not book it now. So there you have it, KOH 2017 here we come.

Next up for the 2016 Ultra4 season is the MetalCloak Stampede. The event that initially broke records for largest Ultra4 driver turnout outside King of the Hammers is back with a vengeance. This year is slated to be the most competitive yet, with the return of some driver favorites like Jason Scherer as well as the addition of MetalCloak newbies like Erik Miller. Add to that the over 90+ driver list of racers who know this course better than ever before, and we are in store for one incredible weekend.

The 2016 MetalCloak Stampede takes place April 8th-9th in Prairie City SVRA (Rancho Cordova, CA). A complete schedule of events can be downloaded HERE, courtesy of Ultra4Racing.com. With that, back to work we go.
