Dirt Riot is awesome. Last weekends Dirt Riot Mountain 1 competition at Moab’s AreaBFE was awesome. Double awesome, all the way.

Roughly twenty 4400 competitors, otherwise known as Ultra4s, took the field last Saturday in what amounted to a dual heat endurance race. Attrition was the name of the game, with roughly half of the vehicles unable to cross the finish line. High speed action, jumps, rolls, and crashes were just part of the action on Saturday. In the end, the 4400 rigs that crossed the finish line looked something like this:

In typical fashion, we were there supporting our teams and, of course, shooting a few photos throughout the day. We’ll be posting up photos during this week, hopefully two a day till Friday, so stay tuned for some action. Also, this is just the first competition in a series of 3 back to back races we’ll be hitting. Our next race is this Saturday, April 6th, for Ultra4s MetalCloak Nor Cal Stampede. After that, we have Ultra4s WIDIA Rausch Creek Qualifier April 13th. Good times!
