Here’s another shot of Jason Scherer, who found and kept his groove early on in the Brawl in Blackwell. Despite having to change multiple injectors throughout the race, he finished the weekend in 1st place. It’s been a tough year for Jason and his team, so finishing the last race of the year with top honors is certainly a great way to end the year. Jason will be back in February for the 2013 King of the Hammers. With a now dialed in IFS Ultra4 racer, powered by Spider 9 axles of course, we’re looking forward to Jason’s KOH return.

A shot of Loren Healey, getting lined up for qualifying during the PSC Brawl in Blackwell. While Loren ran into a few snags during the race, he still pulled of a 6th place finish last weekend. In addition, this earned him enough points to finish 3rd overall in the Nitto Tire National championship series.

Grabbed this shot of Gary Ferravanti Sr. (driver) and Nick Cone (passenger) flying through the brush of Texana Ranch. Gary and Nick finished 9th at last weekend’s PSC Brawl in Blackwell, suffering tire & link failures along the way. With the damage they went through, finishing in the top 10 was incredibly impressive, and a testament to both driver and team.
Gary’s in the process of building a new IFS Ultra4 machine, complete with Spider 9 IFS parts, with the plan to debut next year. We’ll be watching for that one.

While Erik Miller’s new Ultra4 is underway, he had the privilege of borrowing his friends brand new Trent Fab Top Shelf racer for last weekends Brawl in Blackwell. As with any new rig, small gremlins claimed the best of this machine, with a failed transmission taking them out of the race. No doubt this machine is fast, and no doubt we’ll see it take the field again.

This shot was taken during qualifying, featuring none other than Nick Nelson. Like many others on race day, Nick suffered some technical mishaps, but fast pit work and solid driving lead him to a 5th place finish. Better yet, his consistency all year sailed him into 1st place for the Nitto Tire National Championship. Congrats Nick on a solid year of Ultra4 racing!
