Congrats to Loren Healy and Team Fun-Haver Off-Road for an amazing weekend of racing! We have a quick re-cap and a few photos to share from the team, courtesy of Erin Walsh of Team RTR & Fun-Haver. Enjoy!
Loren Healy and Fun-Haver Off-Road Team traveled to Disney, OK this weekend for the “Best Dam Race of the Year”! Entering the weekend, Loren would rank 5th in points for both the east and west coast championships in the 4600 Stock class and 4th nationally. Friday would kick off the weekend with Loren securing 2nd place in qualifying which gave him a favorable starting position for the evening’s race. Learning from pre-running and qualifying, Loren would lay down a seemingly flawless race that would lead him to victory in the 4600 class. This would inevitably seal the west coast championship for the 4600 Bronco. The Fun-Haver Off-Road team returns to action in Lake Havasu, AZ in just three weeks to wrap up the 2023 Ultra4 season.
For over fifteen years, Spider 9 axles have powered more top podium finishes than any other axle on the planet. From the early days of 26 spline Suzuki Samurai shafts to the latest gun-drilled 45 spline Ultra4 racing axles, we take pride in making the industry’s best axle shaft for any off-road application.
We are proud to release these latest H1 Portal 32 spline axle shafts with that same spirit in mind, now sized for 1480 u-joints. This one-piece billet axle shaft is manufactured from our race-proven E4340 chromoly material. Every cross-section is optimized to provide the highest strength in a webbed design capable of a massive 50 degrees of steering. Coupled with our precision in-house turning, milling, and splining operations, this stub shaft will perfectly fit an H1 Portal box every time.
There are many things to be excited about when diving into a racing series. My top two are watching for the fastest drivers and seeing the latest and greatest technology. Sometimes, both of these things go to one team, as is the case with Loren Healy and his latest 4400 Ford Bronco inspired Ultra4 build. There’s a lot to unpack in Loren’s latest creation, and it just so happens that Ali Mansour of Drivingline.com recently spent the time dissecting it all. We hope you enjoy the details of this build as much as we do; read the full writeup over at Drivingline.com.
