As the title suggests, the action doesn’t stop there. Tonight, Ultra4s are at it again at the Glen Helen raceway in California. Live coverage should be alive and well at http://ultra4racing.com/live when the race goes live at 6:30 pm. We’ll be there for the Ultra4 race, helping out teams and capturing the action as it happens. We’ll also be providing photos for the live coverage, so be sure to check it out to get a look at the race as it happens. Just a shot we took of Derek West, right at the top of the rock quarry mountain, doing what he does best. Full throttling it, with finesse. Derek finished the day in 3rd place.

When you’re in a race, it’s hard to image spending the time to winch could pay off. However, that’s the beauty of Ultra4 racing, sometimes winching is the best option. Erik Miller chose to winch the rock quarry hill on his last lap, having shot right up it laps prior. Why? Broken vehicles in his path had him on a line not typically taken. Rather than risk damage, he opted to hook the winch up and continue on. Erik started the day at the end of the pack, and finished in 6th place.

One of the perks of wearing a media vest, and being the official axle of Ultra4 racing, is sneaking into places not normally seen by the crowd. Here is one of those places, on top of the rock quarry mountain. As insane as this climb was from the bottom, it was a blast watching rigs fly over the ridge as viewed from the top. We grabbed this shot of John Sweet, and his Pro Series Knuckle powered Ultra4, as he battled his way to the top without using a winch. He finished 5th for the day.
