Rock racing & short course legend Brad Lovell will be back for an all new 2014 TORC Short Course season. The first short course race of 2014 kicks off on April 5th in Primm, NV. There’s roughly 14 races total that make up this year’s schedule with locations ranging all the way from Primm Nevada to the legendary Crandon International Raceway in Wisconsin. The Pro Light field was packed last year, somewhere in the neighborhood of 27 drivers total, so we’re expecting this year’s competition to be every bit as tough. Best of luck to Brad Lovell and the entire Lovell Racing team this year!

Can your Mini do this?

Amazing the things you find browsing the YouTubes late at night. Big thanks to Spidertrax’s International Ambassador Levi Shirley for finding and sending this one in. Wish we knew more about its origin, what we do know French daredevil Guerlain Chicherit has our respect. Check out the blue Ultimate Unit Bearing caps at 1:14, we were pretty blown away as well when we spotted it.

The promo video below does an even better job of showing off those Spider 9s, give it a pause at 0:48. We’ve always promoted Spider 9s as being a well versed high performance axle, this video seems to take that to an all new level. Good times!

If you’re an Ultra4 racer, you already know we have been making IFS parts for some time now. But… why isn’t this product line shown in all of its glory on our online store ( www.spidertrax.com )?  That sir (or madam) is a good question.  Demand seems to be outpacing production, such that there’s really no sense of “officially” releasing a product without the product physically on hand to sell. We’ve been ramping up production, and making process improvements along the way, but we’re still been selling faster than stocking. Both a good and a bad problem, but we’ll get these stocked and in the store soon enough.

Pictured here is the 941 version of our IFS housing stub shafts, in production. Most racers are running the larger 30 series joints, which of course we also make, but we’re starting to see a little more 941 demand these days, a choice likely influenced heavily on price.

Price… but what prices are we talking about since those parts ARE NOT on the online store? We know, bummed too, but don’t hesitate to give us a call for a complete quote on all parts needed for your Ultra4 IFS project. It’s a free call, (800) 286-0898, so reach out and let us know what you’re planning on building. We like to keep our production schedule running like our well oiled machines, so you will get a  solid date on when your order will be machined and ready for ship.
