Just a little iPhone shot from this morning’s walk of the King of Portugal race course. The green flag drops in roughly 2 hours, with US’s own Levi Shirley in the pole position. It’s going to be two days of the harshest European racing this year’s Ultra4 series has dished out. Best of luck to all drivers and teams, we’ll see you out there!

The east coast Ultra4 season comes to a close, with its final race home to the brand new race track in Sturgis, KY. In an event named The Sturgis Off-Road Blowout, the tight short course meets back woods tree dodging venue packed with it non-stop action and a nail-biting finish. Our good friend and ace photographer Doug Dienelt did an amazing job recapping this race start to finish, coupled with a complete set of stellar shots, over at DrivingLine.com. What we will add, or touch on personally, is how blown away we are this 2014 season. Loren Healy, with his brand new Red Dragon IFS racer, has taken his third Ultra4 win, with the latest from last weekends Sturgis Off-Road Blowout. That’s three in a row for Loren in a brand new machine, something we have never seen (best we remember) in the history of Ultra4 racing.
