And just like that, we now have an official date for the 2016 Nitto King of the Hammers. Marking its 10th year of racing at its finest, King of the Hammers is THE race that kicks off the season, it’s the largest off-road race in North America, it’s Christmas that comes in the beginning of the year… it’s a race that can’t be missed. Oh, for that date… got carried away there. Hammertown opens for drivers on Friday 1/29 with the 2016 Nitto King of The Hammers taking place on Friday, February 5th, 2016.
Mark those calendars, 134 days and counting.

Found a few spiders in the forests of Hot Springs, felt best to share those findings here.
What a great race! For those Ultra4 drivers that haven’t yet made the trip out to Hot Springs, Arkansas, add it to your bucket list. The course has everything an Ultra4 racer desires, and the weather this year was just perfect (that’s new, but we’ll take it).
Congrats to Clay & Lindsay Gilstrap for grabbing their first ever Ultra4 win. Followed right behind the Gilstraps was Levi Shirely and Derek West, which *cough cough* secures another podium sweep for Spider 9 axles. Sorry, couldn’t help myself. Read more…
If you want the best rocks outside King of the Hammers, you’ll have to make the trek to Vimioso, Portugal. Sadly, an Ultra4 scheduling conflict had me picking between my favorite children, and not seeing my east coast Ultra4 family all year I found myself in Hot Springs last weekend for the Ultra4s at Hot Springs race (which was amazing, that story coming later this week). Luckily, we’ve made some great friends over the years from across the pond, with Robb Pritchard and team putting together some amazing videos and photos throughout the KOP race. Read more…
Still waiting for the dust to settle, results are a bit unclear after the 1st day of Portugal racing. Outside of massive carnage all the way around, best we know teams and drivers are safe & having a blast. Today (Saturday) marks the final day of King of Portugal racing, we’ll post a video up with results as soon as we get it wrapped up.
The 2015 King of Portugal is currently underway. Here’s a little in-cab video from Thursday’s Prologue to keep us busy. Race day video updates will be posted over the next two days, be sure to stop back to check those out. Best of luck to all drivers and teams!
