Like Christmas, King of the Hammers comes “roughly” the same time every year, and just like Christmas, it’s here before you know it. We take KOH pretty serious, enough so to shut down phones to make our time out there the best it can be. With that, here’s what the next week looks like for us at Spidertrax.

Our phones will be off from Friday, February 3rd thru Friday, February 10th. During this time, all online orders placed will ship as normal. Also, we will be responding to support emails and fulfilling any Wholesaler orders placed in our within 24hr usual fashion.

With that, we appreciate all the support in allowing us to attend what has become the biggest off-road race we have the pleasure of being a part of. For those attending KOH, we look forward to seeing you on the lakebed.

With only a little more than one month left before the big King of the Hammer’s race day week, there’s no question things are far from slowing down around here. With that said, Christmas is right around the corner which means a little time off for all those hard-working Spidertrax elves. Breaking this one into two, for an attempt in holiday closure clarity:

1. Orders will not ship on Monday, December 26th. Orders placed between December 23rd-26th will ship on Tuesday, December 27th. Pretty simple.
2. Phones will be shut down Friday, December 23rd thru Wednesday, December 28th, returning to our normal phone schedule Thursday, December 29th. We will be answering support emails and fulfilling online orders during that time (less December 26th, see #1 above), just no phone service.

This is relatively old news now, but we haven’t had a chance to post the official 2017 Ultra4 schedule; it’s just crazy busy! So, here it is, and as sometimes happens we have two new surprises in store for next year. Both kickoff races for the East and West series have new venues, which is both an exciting and nerve-racking way to start the year.

For the West series, drivers will find themselves in Sierra Blanca, TX. I’ve heard of this venue being in the works for some time, but can’t add anything of value here outside of that. It replaces Glen Helen, which I know drivers love but from a spectator standpoint it leaves less to be desired. It’s all new to us, but we’ll be in TX all the same. Outside of the venue itself, one bit worth mentioning is its more central location which will be nice for those East Coast guys taking on the West.

For the East series, drivers will find themselves in Davis, OK. I’ve heard of this venue being in the works from a semi-underground last year rumor that Hot Springs was off the table. Too bad on Hot Springs, I quite love that place, but it is what it is. As with the West series kickoff race, I have nothing of value to add regarding Davis, so I’ll be learning the ropes along with the rest of you. It’s nice to have a central location in the East as well; we’ve had west coast guys showing up more and more in the East series, so a few less miles of travel is always appreciated.

With that, we can’t wait for 2017!
